David Thomas
Founder & Lead Coach
David Thomas, a qualified PGA Advanced Coach, and is among Australia’s top golf coaches. He specialises in 3D and 6D Biomechanics, Trackman, SAM BalanceLab, and SAM PuttLab. With 26 years of coaching experience globally, he helps golfers from beginners to professionals enhance their skills.
David’s coaching journey started with a traineeship in Brisbane (1996- 1998), and he became a full PGA member in 1998. He held a PGA Tour Card for the Australasian Tour and lived in Germany from 1999 to 2017, teaching at two golf academies he owned. He also served as the Head Coach at the Australian P.G.A. in Sandhurst, Melbourne.
Fluent in English and German, David holds a Blue Card and is authorised to work with NDIS clients. He currently coaches at the Emerald Lakes Golf Coaching Centre, located on the Gold Coast.
Setting the Gold Coast golf coaching standard, David utilises cutting-edge golf tech to track your progress and keep you improving, so you can continue thriving and learning even when he isn’t with you.
Therese Hjertstedt
Therese Hjertstedt, with 29 years of professional golf experience, is here to set your golf on fire!
As a PGA Teaching professional, Therese has ten years of experience playing on European, Swedish, and Australian professional golf tours. For 19 years, she has taught golf in Australia, France and Scandinavia. She is also the sister of two-time PGA TOUR winner Gabriel Hjertstedt.
It’s essential that your coach understands the game from personal playing experience. Her style is to teach you simple concepts such as better understanding your short game and easy swing techniques. Your scores will plummet, and you will see your handicap go down.
David Waters
David Waters has been a P.G.A. Golf Professional since 2005, holding an Advanced Coaching Certification and a Business Degree in Sports Management. He is equipped to coach international students, thanks to a Certificate IV in English Teaching.
Having served as the coach for the Qantas Golf Club, Director of Golf at Palm Meadows, and Head Professional at Boyne Island, so it is safe to say he enhances every client’s game not only with experience but also with cutting-edge information and golf software.
David’s golf philosophy is ‘focus on the swing area that offers the greatest rewards.’
